Podcast: Dr Flavia Senkubuge

SDG3 seeks to ensure health and well-being for all, at every stage of life. This Goal addresses all major health priorities, including reproductive, maternal and child health; communicable, non-communicable and environmental diseases; universal health coverage; and access for all to safe, effective, quality and affordable medicines and vaccines. It also calls for more research and development, increased health financing, and strengthened capacity of all countries in health risk reduction and management (UN, 2019). In this #SustainableSA Podcast Belinda Carreira speaks with Dr. Flavia Senkubuge about South Africa’s status on achieving SDG3, the impacts COVID-19 has had on this and how large organisations, SMME’s and individuals can each play a valuable part in helping South Africa achieve this Goal.

Now more than ever before, it’s vital for all of South Africa to join this journey as we work towards creating good health and wellbeing for everyone.
