Conditions of Entry

The SAICA South African in Australia Awards is open to individuals with South African heritage, who carry a piece of South Africa in their hearts, and are currently residing and/or working in Australia.
The closing date for entries and nominations is Friday, 8 August 2025.
Entrants must be 18 years of age or older on the closing date for entries.
Entrants may not be employees of SAICA, or any organisation directly involved in the management of the Awards.
Entrants may not have a criminal record or have any pending judgements against them.
All entries must be accompanied by all the required information, documentation and photographs as requested on the entry form.
In the event where someone is nominated by another person, the nominator must provide full personal and contact details of the nominee and inform the nominee of their nomination. SAICA will then contact the nominee directly to request further supporting documentation. Please note: if we are unable to establish contact with the nominee, or if the documentation is not provided in a timely manner, or if the documentation provided is not adequate, the nominator may be required to assist in gathering this information on our behalf. Supporting documentation is a key requirement to ensure fair judging.
The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
Entries will be treated in confidence and will not be circulated outside of judges, sponsors, and selected employees of SAICA.
SAICA reserves the right to publish entrants’ photos, biographical details, and videos across various media channels.
The judging panel will select finalists from all the entries received. Finalists will be notified via email by mid-August 2025. Finalists will be required to provide a 100-word bio of themselves for purposes of featuring and announcements in or on other SAICA publications or platforms.
All finalists will need to avail themselves for the evening of 25 September 2025 for the Awards event which will take place in Sydney. The category winners will be announced at this event. Travel, accommodation and meals will be for finalists’ own account.
Specific details about the prizes will be announced in the run-up to the Awards ceremony. Please stay tuned for further updates.
No prizes are exchangeable for cash or any other prize.
By entering the SAICA South African in Australia Awards, you agree to these Conditions of Entry. Disqualification may result from non-compliance, or any other reason deemed necessary by SAICA at its sole discretion.
