Conditions of Entry

The Trainee Trailblazer competition is open to all SAICA trainee accountants who are in the process of doing their training contracts at a SAICA accredited Training Office as at 13 October 2022.
You have to be a registered trainee in good standing with SAICA with no pending judgements against you.
All entries must be accompanied by an introduction video of 90 to 120 seconds, a brief biography and a colour photograph.
The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Entries will be treated in confidence and will not be circulated outside of judges, sponsors and selected employees of SAICA.
SAICA reserves the right to publish entrants’ photos, biographical details and videos across various media channels.
The shortlisted finalists will need to submit a second (5-minute long) video by a date to be communicated, which will then be evaluated by an internal and external panel of judges.
All finalists will need to avail themselves for the week beginning 26 September 2022 for the recording of the video as well as the evening of 14 October 2022 where their video will be presented on the last day of the online Trainee Summit.
The overall winner will be announced at the formal Awards Ceremony on 14 October 2022 held during the Trainee Summit event.
No prizes are exchangeable for cash or any other prize.
