Student Leadership Awards
SAICA is calling on students to create a business idea inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). THINK BOLD. THINK IMPACT.
How have you uplifted your community and helped tackle real challenges in South Africa through a project that addresses one or more of the UN’s SDGs?
The Student Leadership Awards are open to teams made up of 1 to 5 students, so you can enter or team up with friends.
The top 5 teams will be hosted by SAICA in Johannesburg, where they’ll get hands-on coaching and mentorship from industry experts (Travel and accommodations will be covered by SAICA) . It all leads up to the exciting Student Leadership Awards ceremony, where the winning team will be announced.
Entry Criteria
- The Student Leadership Summit is open to students studying towards a BCom CA-Stream or AGA(SA) qualification at a SAICA-accredited institutions.
- Entries can be submitted individually or in teams of 1–5 members.
- Each team must develop and submit a business case aligned to one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- The project must demonstrate a clear and meaningful community impact within South Africa.
- All submissions must be original work created by the individual or team.
How to Enter
Here’s how you can take part in the Student Leadership Awards:
- Complete the entry form
You can enter or team up with up to 4 other students (1–5 members per team). Fill in the official entry form with your team details and required information. Each team is required to select one team representative or team leader to complete the form and team details - Submit your business case
Create a compelling business case for your project that addresses one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Your idea should show how it will positively impact a community in South Africa. - Submit your entry
Upload your completed business case along with your entry form and related documents.
Once submitted, shortlisted teams will be selected to move on to the next stage.
