Skills and experience:
Denise joined SAICA in 2023, after a 14-year tenure in Auditing academia at the University of Johannesburg and 6 years within her own Small Practice as CA(SA) that she built up from foundational level in 2016. She has developed a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by small business owners. Working closely and experiencing the challenges SMP’s face with the stakeholders and regulatory environment daily. She is also a registered Tax Practitioner and a member of the SAICA Examination Committee, that is involved in setting the entrance examination for CAs(SAs).

How are a #DifferenceMaker (keep your response to 40-50 words):
Denise makes a difference in her small Western Cape hometown, as part of the Community Rate Payers Association member. Various charitable fundraising events keep her involved in the community. These include, Easter and December craft markets, a Spring dance, New year’s Lantern festival, various infrastructure renovation projects and the maintenance of the historical museum and library.
