Denicia Samuels started her career in financial services, completing her articles in a Big 4 Audit firm before registering as a Chartered Accountant in 2012. After transitioning to the public sector from banking, she has served Accounting Practices at KZN Provincial Treasury for the last 12 years, offering technical guidance and practical solutions to deliver positive audit outcomes across Provincial institutions.

She spearheaded the PFMA Training & Capacity Building Unit, established in 2018, which empowers more than 500 officials annually through specialised training on MCS, ERF, SCOA, AFS preparation, and digital literacy. As the SAICA Training Officer at KZN Provincial Treasury, Chair of the SAICA Regulations Working Group and accredited National School of Government facilitator, she is deeply committed to developing aspiring Chartered Accountants and strengthening the public sector’s professional pipeline. Known for blending technical excellence with empathy, she is currently completing a bachelor's degree in psychology, with a vision to merge human insight with financial leadership.
