Nadia Kganakga CA(SA)

Senior Lecturer at the University of the Free State

Nadia Kganakga is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and an academic with a Master of Commerce in Accountancy from the North-West University. She currently serves as a Senior Lecturer at the University of the Free State, where she lectures undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Nadia began her professional career at the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA), completing her SAICA articles and later serving as Assistant Manager. In this capacity, she gained experience in auditing public institutions and mentoring trainee accountants.

Her academic research has focused primarily on public sector governance. Notable publications include articles in the Southern African Journal of Accountability and Auditing Research and Auditing SA, and she has presented her findings at the University of Stellenbosch’s Corporate Governance Conferences in 2022 and 2023. She is also a co-author of the SAICA Public Sector Guidance for Academia published in 2025 and acted as a reviewer for the Journal of Public Affairs in 2024.
