Tertius Troost is an Associate Director in the Corporate Tax Consulting division at RSM South Africa and has more than a decade of experience advising local and multinational clients on complex corporate and international tax matters. Having worked in South Africa, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, he has developed extensive experience in cross-border taxation, corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, tax dispute resolution, and strategic tax planning.

Tertius holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting (Taxation) from Stellenbosch University and an LLM in International Tax Law from King’s College London, which he completed with distinction. He combines strong technical expertise with a practical and commercially focused approach to advising clients on a broad range of domestic and international tax matters.

In addition to his advisory work, Tertius is a guest lecturer on the Stellenbosch University Master’s in Taxation programme, where he contributes to the development of future tax professionals.
