2019 SAICA information session on legal practitioners trust accounts
Summary
The Legal Practice Act and Legal Practice Council Rules are now effective. SAICA, together with representatives from the Legal Practice Fidelity Fund is hosting an information session. This session is aimed at providing delegates with an overview of Section 86 and 87 of the Legal Practice Act No 28 of 2014, which came into effect on 1 November 2018 and the South African Legal Practice Council Rules made under the authority of sections 95(1), 95(3) and 109(2) of the Legal Practice Act, 28 of 2014 (as amended), relating to legal practitioner’s trust accounts.
