Information on what will be examined

Seating arrangements

• Candidates sit in numerical order according to exam number
• An attendance register, on which the candidate's exam number will be pre-printed, will be on the desk
• Candidates must find the desks that match their exam number and ensure that they sit at the correct desk

Online registration dates

29 April – 29 May 2026
Candidates who do not register during this period will be charged a penalty fee of up to 100%.

Late Registration Dates

01 – 04 June 2026

• You are encouraged to register even if your PGDA results are pending. If you are unsuccessful in the PGDA, your registration will be cancelled at no cost.

London venue candidates & International Venues

• SAICA reserves the right to cancel this venue if the number of registered candidates is insufficient.
• An additional registration fee will be charged and shared among candidates writing in London if the usage of the venue goes ahead with insufficient number of candidates.
• Notification of the fee will be sent on 29 May 2026.
• The IAC exam is offered only in South Africa and London. Candidates must register and present themselves at these venues

Payment and invoices

• Candidates can view and download their invoice directly from their profile on the SAICA Member Portal.
• Payment of all invoices must reach SAICA by 29 May 2026.
• In terms of SAICA's examination policy, invoices are issued to each candidate.
• If the invoice should be made out to the candidate's employer, the candidate must request it before 15 May 2026.
• It remains the candidate’s responsibility to submit the assessment invoice to their employer, should the employer be sponsoring their participation.

Confirmations

After completion and submission of an on-line registration (application)

By e-mail

• A computer-generated confirmation that confirms receipt of your registration by SAICA will be emailed. (This does not confirm eligibility to write IAC June 2026)
• If not received within 24 hours, phone the SAICA contact center – non-receipt could mean that your registration was unsuccessful.
• Check your details – especially the venue you selected – on this confirmation email for correctness.
• All queries must be logged via the SAICA Members Portal at https://my.saica.co.za
• All other changes can be made, by you, on your SAICA profile.

Admission Letter

By e-mail

• The admission letter will be issued once all IAC eligibility requirements are met and payment has been received and allocated. The admission letter is issued via email only
• This letter contains your exam number, upon receipt of the letter, print it and present on all days at the exam venue.
• The admissions letter will be issued by 17 June 2026

SMS

• Informs you that an admission letter has been e-mailed to you
• Ensure that you provide your correct cell number on your SAICA profile

Valid PGDA or equivalent

A candidate must have successfully completed a PGDA or equivalent programme endorsed

PGDA obtained in 2023

Permitted Texts

• Open book assessments
• NO writing / notes, etc., is allowed in the SAICA handbooks which may be brought into the examination
• Open Book Policy (Section 9)
